The PAMA Research Committee is pleased to announce the third installment of our ‘MPPA Journal Club’ series – a forum for discussion of the latest research published in Medical Problems of Performing Artists (MPPA) with the authors of articles from the June 2024 issue!

The Journal Club will be held on July 8, 2024 from 12 – 1:30pm ET (US)/6 – 7:30pm CET (Central Europe). Authors of the following articles will give a brief summary presentation of their work, followed by substantial time for open discussion:

Perspectives of ballet dancers on causes of their injuries and implementation of injury preventive measures by ballet teachers and masters
Presenting Author: Dr. Judith-Elisa Kaufmann, Department of Orthopaedics, Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands

Comparison of perfectionism between music and medical students and its association with anxiety
